Hello everyone, and a big welcome and thank you to all new followers! Over the past 7 years or so I have been experimenting with clay. My trademark silhouettes that have been inspired from early cave paintings seem to translate well onto this medium. I have endeavored to keep the process as natural as possible, hence the use of iron oxide for the decoration work. You can see me painting the vases from my Silhouette Vase Collection 2012 by clicking here, this will direct you to my youtube channel. To see my silhouette oil paintings please click here.

I love your silhouettes! I have played on clay with a similar feel, using inlaid coloured clay. Fun!

Amazing pieces, Katherine. The figures seem to leave their own imprints on Saturn clay. And I’d use the dish to put some dish.
