It was my pleasure to present my commissioned portrait of Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark to her Majesty at Gråsten Palace. It was a private meeting with the Queen (therefore no photographs of the event) We had lovely conversation after Her Majesty had unwrapped the portrait.

I was scrolling through your wonderful paintings when I saw this one and thought, ah, Rembrandt! It really did strike me that this contained an echo, not that it is derivative, mind you (which, at least in the world of poetry-writing, would be an insult) but just an echo. As in your Red Room echoing Matisse perhaps, or the odalisque-like one that might remind one of David, that grand tradition of odalisques? Anyhow, I hope you finish this. I love it!
