It was my pleasure to present my commissioned portrait of Her Majesty Queen Margrethe II of Denmark to her Majesty at Gråsten Palace. It was a private meeting with the Queen (therefore no photographs of the event) We had lovely conversation after Her Majesty had unwrapped the portrait.

I think it’s because so much has to come from YOU – composition, harmonies etc. Think of Cezanne, Chardin and especially Morandi. I’m also working on still lifes at the moment for an exhibition next year at The Plough – but no competition for you!

Richard, I agree. As in all painting the harmonies and composition has to be there. Especially in a simple still life like this one where there is virtually no attention to detail. Thank you for commenting and good luck with your own still life gems for your exhibition!
