From Cave Paintings to modern minimalism – I present my latest Silhouettes.

Thank you for that. Sadly the story for this painting doesn’t end here. My local Framer by accident punched a hole in the canvas while working on it, he was mortified! – now it an insurance matter.

I think there is a four stage grieving process for accidents like these…..so sorry for you….it’s not the money though, is it (?) My dog and cat got into a playful mode, knocked a chair over into a hanging painting and tore a hunk out…..meant to be simply a backdrop, I had painted my “masterpiece” on muslin…..I repaired it painting over the repair heavily and rehung it. hahahaha……then decided I’d never use muslin as a substrate again.

The insurance wouldn’t cough up, so I’ll keep the painting. One of my sons will probably ask to have it … I will see if I wish to part from it!!

Insurance….what a funny word. It makes us feel good to have it, but, when an accident happens it doesn’t help, and then they don’t pay….in the end, it’s more like gambling. Haha.
