Katherine Scrivens was born in 1964 Bristol, England. Her Father, David William Scrivens was English and her Mother, Pamela Angelina Todd was Anglo-Indian.
This rich mixed heritage is very present in Katherine’s work. A Tudor inspired portrait will often carry vivid patterns and colour detail motivated by traditional Indian decoration.
Inspired by the Danish lifestyle and nature Katherine moved to Denmark in 1984. Katherine works and resides at Harbæksgaard on the island Als in Denmark where she has her own Gallery, Galleri Eje with her husband Thomas Eje
