Katherine Scrivens Eje

International selling artist Katherine Scrivens (Eje) (b.1964 Bristol UK) has a long career behind her and has had many exhibitions in her native England as well as in her adopted country Denmark. She is best known for her willowy emotive silhouette figure paintings and is often called the Silhouette Artist.

Katherine is also an accomplished portrait painter. Her portrait of the Crown Princess Mary of Denmark was included in the censured exhibition ‘Fra Kongehusets Gemmer’ at Amalienborg Palace, Copenhagen.

Katherine’s portrait of Queen Margrethe II of Denmark was commissioned by the town of Gråsten and presented to her Majesty on 31.07.2019 in the Queen’s private reception room at the palace.

Katherine is married to popular Danish Entertainer Thomas Eje and together they manage their  Art Gallery at their home, Harbæksgaard in Skovby on the island of Als where you can see a permanent exhibition of her paintings and ceramics.
