A small section of a larger painting in the making. The finished piece will be 250x130cm. I am using a lot of techniques from my classical training for the dress fabrics which is a lot of fun. This is blended with modern decorative details. I love working on larger surfaces and these lovely colours really do brighten up a dull February day – Katherine
I always seem to get a lot of painting done during the winter months. This winter is no exception. My constant fascination with silhouettes, city lights and umbrellas has largely been my focus in my recent paintings. Here’s a big one called ‘City Lights’ just completed today.
