Katherine Scrivens was born in 1964 Bristol, England. Her Father, David William Scrivens was English and her Mother, Pamela Angelina Todd was Anglo-Indian.
This rich mixed heritage is very present in Katherine’s work. A Tudor inspired portrait will often carry vivid patterns and colour detail motivated by traditional Indian decoration.
Inspired by the Danish lifestyle and nature Katherine moved to Denmark in 1984. Katherine works and resides at Harbæksgaard on the island Als in Denmark where she has her own Gallery, Galleri Eje with her husband Thomas Eje
“Delicate Silhouettes featured in her paintings” Lars Lykke Rasmussen, Former Prime Minister of Denmark
“Beautiful portrait of HM Queen Margrethe II” Paul Burrell, Former Butler to HM Queen Elizabeth II and Diana, Princess of Wales
“I love Katherine’s paintings!” Peter Schmeichel, Manchester United Goalkeeper, Broadcaster, Motivational speaker, Global Ambassador for Carlsberg
“Katherine’s paintings give the soul, hope and peace” Victor Rivers, Actor Blood in Blood Out, Zorro and US Spokesperson for the National Network to End Domestic Violence
Hi ! katherine..I’m not really much in paintings…even though it used to be my favorite subject in school years ! I have seen some of your work and really liked it…great work! I’m looking at painting with a different perspective…thanks for visiting my blog, which brought me to your blog! 🙂
Love your artwork! I especially like ‘Silhouettes in the city’. Living in rural Kansas, my typical view is quite different from the painting.
Also, thank you for liking my poem, “Questions for a Flower.”
