I got up early this morning eager to continue my work from yesterday on my lady and man painting. After many weeks, I’m done!
A quick little study piece.
For me, there is nothing quite as exciting as painting a little silk cloth! My method with this little painting has been: grisaille and over glazing in acrylics to achieve the shine and deep colour.
Working on this beauty today…
Am currently working on a large and ambitious classical style painting. Here’s a peek at one of the main characters.
My classical oil painting of a woman and scarves had been loaned out for a while. I painted this a couple of years ago. It was good to finally welcome her back home! She now resides over the living room!
Every time I get my watercolours out I remember just how much I love painting with them! This little piece on paper was intended as a sketch for a larger oil painting. But I think it is a little finished piece in its own right, so I’ll be framing it ready for the gallery in the coming days.
Have a lovely weekend everyone. Until next time, Katherine x
I love working with as few colours as possible to create such unassuming drama as this reflective girl under the pink rainy sky. #spiritualmoment
