Close up detail from the painting shown in the previous post.
An exciting and exhausting day. I finished this large painting for a solo exhibition next year. My husband took this photo, I apologize for looking scruffy and tired!
What an enjoyable little painting this was to paint! I loved working with these blue hues to create the illusion of light captured in this bottle. I am from Bristol, so there is a natural fondness for the beautiful and famous Bristol Blue Glass
When the world gets too loud, I take refuge in my paintings.
Rediscovering the simplicity of this painting which has recently been receiving a lot of traffic.
I have renamed it: ‘The Theatre of the Mind’ after the inspiring teaching of Dr Maxwell Maltz.
Working on this beauty today…
Today I completed this art deco painting which will be a headboard over a bed in our home. I am a huge admirer of artist Tamara de Lempicka. Those familiar with her work will see a resemblance to one of her paintings in this piece. I will give it a high gloss varnish tomorrow and will hopefully have the time to paint a Versace inspired frame for it too.
